Slate and Stage was founded by actor Anja Cilia, to bring one-to-one screen-acting coaching for young people, and audition preparation, to her home county of Kent.​
Anja grew up on local stages before training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and with the National Youth Theatre. She has now been working in the industry for 7 years, gaining experience on over 40 jobs including BBC's Eastenders, Call The Midwife and HBO and Punchdrunk's The Third Day.
Working on a variety of TV shows, feature films, short films, theatre projects, commercials, voice-overs, animations and music videos, Anja has experienced what it is to be an actor on a wide range of sets.
Our Story
Slate and Stage was created with the purpose of bringing one-to-one screen acting coaching to young performers in Kent. We know what it is to walk onto a set with no prior experience and how daunting that can be. Also, coming from a background with no connections to the industry or knowledge on how it works, meant learning a lot on the job. Slate and Stage aims to arm their clients with the techniques, knowledge and confidence to walk onto a set with the skills to give their best possible performance. Whether you're new to screen acting entirely, already agency represented or just want to have a space in which to stretch your acting muscles - Slate and Stage is the place for you.
